TabTrade Broker Review - The Good and the Catch

Tab Trade - The Short Version

Tab Trade opened in March 2026. Online broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.

That last detail matters. It says the leadership knows how a proper broker operates. Does not guarantee anything. But preferable to a random name you cannot trace.

The broker opened with Equinix data centre access in London. Same data centres banks and hedge funds use. Most new brokers focuses on ads and sign-up promos. Tab Trade went the other way. Not the typical playbook.

The instrument list: forex, stock indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, equities, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. Over 1,000 instruments. For a broker this new, the breadth is solid.

Platforms

They offer: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Both platforms from the same login. A lot of brokers only give you one or the other. Access to both makes a difference. You are not locked into one.

MetaTrader 5 is the default. Full charting, EAs, huge user base. If you have traded on MetaTrader before, you know exactly what you are getting.

cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Better depth of market. More responsive charts. Native automated trading. Many people like it better than MT5 after comparing.

FIX API is there for bots but needs the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is apparently coming. That will be a good addition once it is live.

Costs

Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. No commission. Easy to track. $0 to start. Suits people who want simple pricing.

Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 each way. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is often a fraction of a pip. So your actual cost per trade sometimes sits under half a pip. That is hard to beat for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade has no minimum.

VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, tailored rates. Not relevant to most retail traders. Skip it unless you move real size.

Infrastructure

The speed is the thing TabTrade separates from most new launches. Equinix data centres. Under 30ms on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are not marketing fluff. Most retail brokers quote 100ms to 300ms.

Should you care? If you trade small timeframes, it does. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you trade higher timeframes, you probably will not feel it. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That signals something about priorities.

Put together that infrastructure with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get makes sense. Few brokers at this price point offer execution like this.

The FSRA Question

Here is the part you need to be straight about. Tab Trade is licensed by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No FCA. No fund protection scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a problem for you, look elsewhere. Lots of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.

That said. Benjamin Boulter spent years at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is not cheap. Dodgy operations do not bother with tier-1 data centre access. That does not make it safe. It should be part of your decision.

The deal: you trade regulatory safety. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether that makes sense comes down to your priorities.

The Bonus

TabTrade has a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Usual welcome offer. You fund your account, TabTrade credit extra capital. Usual conditions attached: turnover conditions before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Review the fine print before you deposit.
